Banana Nut Bread

04 Oct

This recipe is one of those “amazing finds” on the internet. I was craving a banana bread, and just happened to find this recipe. I was skeptical, as you never know what you might find on the internet, but i was pleasantly surprised when the bread came out! This is one of those addictive breads that one piece is just not enough. The only thing that keeps me from eating the whole loaf is the cup of butter!

  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c butter
  • 2 c white sugar
  • 2 c mashed banana
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350°. In a small mixing bowl, sift flour and baking soda together. Set aside. In a larger mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar together. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Add bananas and walnuts. Slowly add in flour mixture.

In two greased and floured bread pans, divide batter. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
